Greetings, Rosebank families! I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend. Thank you for all the gifts, cards, flowers, treats, hugs last week for Teacher Appreciation Week. I definitely felt loved, but my greatest reward last week was seeing the students do their very best on the CAASPP! They were amazing! Such troopers. This week we are back to our usual working routine.
Zoo Trip – will be on Tues. May 19. Please turn in signed and completed permission slips by this Friday May 15. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please turn in the form as well. Just a reminder that the agenda for that day is packed with learning activities, so most likely there will be no time for exploring and walking around on our own. All students will need snack, lunch, and water. If your student needs a lunch from the cafeteria, please sign the bottom of the permission slip. We are excited to learn more about the Watershed!
Science Project – How are the projects coming along? Since this project is done outside of school, please help your child conduct their experiment and record their observations. Take pictures if needed. The Science Fair is less than 3 weeks away! May 29. If your child still does not have a project idea, please email me! If your child is working with a partner, they should get together to talk about or conduct the experiment outside of school. Thank you for your support as always! Please email if you have any questions. Science is awesome!
AR Cut-Off – The cut-off for AR points for the AR assembly will be this Friday May 15. 4th graders need to earn 60 points to receive an award. Check your child’s AR pink report to see where they fall. Many have exceeded this goal ~ Congratulations! Several are very close. Please encourage your child to stay focused this week and read, read, read! You can do it, Panthers!
Weekly Progress Reports – Due to CAASPP testing last week, I was unable to send these home. Please look for them today and sign and return tomorrow, along with the pink AR report. I apologize for the delay; thank you for your understanding.
Memorial Day Holiday – Monday May 25. No school! School resumes Tues. May 26. Hooray!
New Student – Welcome to 502, Dafne!
Have a great week, Panthers! ~ Mrs. King 🙂
