CAASPP Tests Start Next Week – 4th grade will be participating in the state CAASPP tests the week of May 2-6. We are working hard to prepare in class. Here are a few important reminders for testing week:
- Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school everyday. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 8:20-8:35. Students will NOT have time to get 2nd Chance Breakfast during testing week. They may bring their own snack or eat the light snack the school may provide. We will only have a 10-minute snack and stretch break in the middle of morning tests.
- Please schedule all appointments during other weeks, not May 2-6. Or if you must schedule an appointment, please make it for the afternoon. Thank you!
- I recommend that students bring their own headphones/earbuds for the tests. Many students complain that the headphones at school hurt their heads/ears. Please have the students bring their headphones/earbuds to class NOW so they can practice using them BEFORE testing week. Also, some brands don’t plug in or work very well with our Yoga Lenovo laptops, so students need to bring it in to try it. Thank you so much!
- Donations for snacks during testing would be greatly appreciated. Snacks like granola bars, applesauce cups with spoons, crackers, rice cakes, small bananas, apples, tangerines, etc. would be perfect. Nothing sugary (refined sugar) please. Small water bottles would also be good. We have 30 students in our class. A HUGE, HUGE thank you for any donations you can send.
Thank you, Panthers, for being you! Have a fabulous week! Please email me with any questions. ~ Mrs. King 🙂
