Greetings, Rosebank families! Thank you for a great week last week. The class is doing awesome!

Swim – begins Monday.  Please make sure your child eats breakfast at home or school AND brings a healthy snack. School breakfast opens at 8:15.  Please have your child wear their bathing suit on under school-clothes, towel, plastic bag for wet stuff, shower shoes/slippers, hairbrush/comb if needed, swim goggles (optional).  We will leave at 9:45 to Parkway Pool and be back around 11:30 everyday for two weeks.  We will miss recess, but will eat our snack when we get back to class. Parents are welcome to watch from the Spectator Area. The kids are going to love swimming!

Back to School Night – will be this Wed Aug 12 for K-3 and Thurs Aug 13 for grades 4-6 from 6:00-6:45.  However, 4th grade will open our doors at 5:30 to help you sign up on all our important technology sites, such as Edmodo and Classroom Dojo, if you haven’t yet. This will give you access and help you be more aware of what/how your child is doing in class. Please plan on attending!

Weekend Homework – Read 20 min and complete Reading Log. Study Math Ch. 1 Review/Test (sent home Friday).  Sign and return white and yellow reports. We will take our Ch. 1 Math Test on Monday!  I know there are still some difficulties with Place Value; we will continue to work on it.  I appreciate students coming in to ask questions about their math!  Please visit our Math Resources page for more help.

New Homework – This week I’ll be adding IXL and Achieve to the homework. Thank you for all your support at home.  Please give me any feedback on how long everything is taking, hopefully not more than 1 hour and 45 minutes. Please check out the Homework page for your child’s assignments which they copy down on their Planner at school.

Weekly Progress Report and AR Report (yellow) – Please sign the white Weekly Progress Report AND please initial the yellow AR Report where it says Parent Initials. It’s important you see your child’s progress in Independent Reading.  I also sent home their results from the STAR test; these will be your child’s reading levels/colors this quarter, please sign and return.  For more information, please see our Accelerated Reader page.  Thank you!

Donations – We are so appreciative of all the supplies! Thank you. ❤

Late birthday shout-outs to Ariana and Arthur (July).

Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Have a terrific weekend, Panthers, and I’ll see you parents on Thursday for Back to School Night! ~ Mrs. King 🙂
