Greetings, Rosebank families! I hope you are all having a good weekend with family. Last week was so much fun with the Book Fair, Morning Announcements, Reading Night, and Movie Night. Thank you for supporting our school PTA with your purchases and participation.
Student-Led Conferences – will be March 9, 10, and 13 for our class from 1:50-3:20. Your child will be leading the conference! Thank you to those who have already signed up. If you haven’t yet, here is the latest schedule. I will update again very soon and also send home confirmation slips Monday. Don’t forget that March 9-17 are all minimum days with dismissal at 1:45. Spring Break will be March 20-31. School resumes April 3.
Read Across America – This week is Dr. Seuss Week! We will celebrate literacy and reading. We will have a Mystery Reader everyday. Classes will also participate in a door-decorating contest Wednesday. On Thursday we will have Drop Everything and Read for 15 minutes across the school – everyone will be reading! On Friday, we will have volunteers read in the classroom. It’s going to be another Panther-rific week!
Volunteers Needed – If you or another family member, are available to read a story to the class this coming Friday March 3 anytime from 9:00-1:15, please email me at arlene.king@cvesd.org. We would love to have you!
AR Electronics Party – The deadline to earn points to be invited to this quarter’s AR Electronics Party is fast approaching! The party will be next Friday March 10. Students have a personal goal they need to reach (see yellow AR report sent home with Weekly Report). Encourage your child to read their AR books and take their tests. Students should be reading 40 minutes nightly and taking at least one test per day. Thank you for your encouragement and monitoring at home!
Yearbook Pre-Order Sales – will begin Monday. The yearbook committee has been hard at work, and this year’s yearbook is going to be awesome! Please look for an order form to be sent home Monday. Orders start at $12. Reserve your copy as soon as possible! Send completed order forms and payment to the office. Thank you for your support!
