Greetings, Rosebank families! It’s been a while, but I have some time now to post, and I’m feeling better as well. I hope everyone in your family is doing well, too.

Thought Exchange – Please check your email for a link that was sent to answer a quick 3-question survey about our school. The top three schools with surveys complete can win $600 that can go towards books, technology, materials, etc. That would be awesome! Please help us win!

Scholar Dollars – We are collecting loose change and dollar bills for our Scholar Dollars. Please have your child bring coins/bills to put in our classroom jar. The top class will win a pizza party!

Speech Contest – Congratulations to Molly who filled in for Marco to represent us at the Rosebank Speak-off two Fridays ago. She won 3rd place. Congratulations to Carolina Rodriguez from Ms. Jones’s class who won 2nd place and Morgan Murphy from Mrs. Blackford’s class who won 1st place! Morgan will represent our school at the district Speak Off later this month.  Thank you to all students who wrote a speech this year. You guys rock!

Valentine Card Exchange – We will have some Tuesday afternoon for a friendly card exchange. The list of student names was sent home last Friday. Candy may be passed out with the cards and may be taken home to enjoy at parents’ discretion. If your child brings cards, please make sure they bring enough for everyone in the class. Thank you!

Board Meeting – Rosebank will present their annual board report this Wed. Feb. 15 at 6:00. If you can join us at the district office 84 East J St. we would love to have a huge Panther representation that night! Come and support our school!

Presidents’ Holiday Weekend – Remember that this Thurs. Feb. 16 will be a minimum day with 1:45 dismissal. Friday Feb. 17 and Monday Feb. 20 will be holidays – no school, in honor of Presidents Washington and Lincoln.  School will resume Tuesday Feb. 21.

Spring Conferences – Just a heads-up that we will have Student-Led Conferences in March. Please look for a sign-up letter this week. Your child will be leading the conferences. I look forward to seeing everyone again!

Book Fair – Week of Feb. 21-24. PTA is in need of volunteers to work the book fair before school, after school, and during the day! If you are interested, please let me know and I will put you in touch with PTA. Thank you for your support!

Family Reading Night – Feb. 22 from 6:30-7:30. Come join us for a celebration of books and literacy! I will be one of the teachers reading that night. See you there!
