Greetings, Rosebank Families! I hope your weekend is relaxing and fun. We had a great week last week. We met our 2nd grade Reading Buddies from Mr. Cabrera’s class and read with them. We had our Quarter 1 AR Electronics Party and Fun Friday! It was extended and so much fun!
Salt Dough Map – Please prepare the dough ball on Sunday and have your child bring to school this Monday for our California Map projects. If you are able to make extra, that would be great. There are usually students who are unable to make/bring or forget. Thank you so much! I sent home paper instructions again Friday, but you can also find the instructions at the bottom of the first page here: 4th_Gr_CA_Relief_Map
Weekend Homework – Students are to read AR book 30 min and write their summary on the Reading Log. Also, finish their PMTs on Math Think Central website. We started two this past week PMT 3.1 and PMT 3.3. There are NO Weekly Reports this week and next week due to conferences and report cards. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any specific questions about homework and/or behavior, please contact me by email or Class Dojo and I will do the same. Thank you for understanding.
Conferences – Thank you to parents who made it to our conferences this past week! Next week we continue conferences and minimum days. Don’t forget to have your child join us. Please check the schedule here and email me if you will not be able to make it.
Panther Club – Students who attend Panther Club: it will continue through minimum days. Tuesdays and Thursdays after school 1:45-3:15 in 903.
Reader’s Theatre – We invite you to special Reader’s Theatre performances of Greek plays by the 4th grade classes this Thursday Sept. 15 in the auditorium from 9:00-10:00. 502 will perform “Atalanta and the Great Race.” 503 will perform “Athena and Arachne” and 501 will perform “Daedalus and Icarus.” We hope you can attend this special treat!
Fall Break Homework – I’d rather not assign Fall Break homework, however, many students need to maintain their momentum with AR, Achieve, and also practice their multiplication. I will send home a letter/list of activities for your child to work on during break. Activities are optional, however, students who complete them will receive two No-Homework Passes for use in 2nd Quarter.
Thank you Panthers for being awesome. Have a great week next week, our last week of quarter 1! Warmly ~ Mrs. King 🙂
