Greetings, Rosebank families! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
Swim Class – Last week, we had a great week finishing off our Swim Classes! Congratulations to Evan and Kassandra for winning the Soda-Free Challenge Raffle. Congratulations to all students for their participation and improvement in Swimming and the Soda-Free Challenge! Thank you parents for all your help these past two weeks with all their swim stuff, and thank you to those who were able to come out this week to visit the pool. You should have received your child’s swim report cards from Friday. If you would like extra swim classes for your child, please inquire at Parkway Recreation Center for upcoming classes.
Earbuds/Headphones – Rosebank is now 1-to-1 with electronic devices! We would like to request that your child bring earbuds or headphones to school in a baggy labeled with their name. We will be using them everyday during class for our computer work. Thank you so much for your help!
Weekend Homework – Your child needs to read 30 minutes of their AR book and write a reading log summary. Also, they need to show you their Weekly Reports so you can review, sign and initial. Please ask for it from them. Thank you!

CELDT Testing – started last week in grades 1-6 except our grade since we had Swim. This week will be for all 4th grade English Learners. Good luck, Panthers!
Welcome Back Luau – this Sat. Aug. 27 the PTA is sponsoring a fun-filled school event with food, music, games. Students learned the Hukilau dance this week at PAWS Rotations. Can’t wait to see their moves! Flyers to go home Monday. Hope to see you there!

Mission Trails Field Trip – Thurs. Sept. 1. Thank you to those who’ve already sent in their permission slips and bus money of $7. The deadline will be this Friday Aug. 26. If you are interested in chaperoning, please fill out the interest letter sent home. Thank you!
Student Council – 5th and 6th graders ran for Student Council last week. The Presidential candidates gave their speeches to the 4th graders on Wed. and we got to vote right after. On Friday, all the candidates gave their speeches to the upper grades and voted. Votes are in! Congratulations to the new Student Council for Rosebank: Treasurer – Guillian (5th), Secretary – Keyara (5th), Vice President – Itzel (5th), and President – Mikada (6th)! Way to go, Panthers!
Labor Day Holiday – Please be reminded that Mon. Sept. 5 is a holiday. No school!
Attendance – We continue to work hard on attendance! Please send your child to school by 8:30 everyday unless they are very ill. If you are not sure, our school nurse can determine if a child needs to stay home. Thank you for your commitment to attendance!
Safety – Please remind your child to cross only at crosswalks when walking home.
