Owls Activity Thursday!

Greetings, Rosebank Panthers! I hope you all had a great week. We sure did! Even though we did not have our computers (5th grade is using them for testing), most of us were able to complete our AR and Achieve assignments before Friday. Way to go, 4th graders!

Compliment Party – has been moved to Monday. The majority of the class voted to have an Electronics Party. Please have your child bring their electronic device this Mon. May 16. They must keep it in their backpack turned off or give to Mrs. King for safekeeping. It may only come out for the party and be put back. No inappropriate content allowed. Students not participating due to behavior have been spoken to and will hopefully make better choices in the future.

Homework This Weekend – Read 45 minutes. Work on your Science Project – students should be completing their experiment and starting to work on the tri-fold presentation board. Don’t forget to get the Weekly Progress Report signed!

Achieve Homework – Many students have not been working on Achieve at home. It has been assigned for Homework for the last two weeks. We are preparing for our Achieve Level Set test so that students can show their highest level at the end of the year. Since we have had to share our laptops recently, I have reduced the amount of articles to 2 and Thought Questions to 1. Please help ensure that your child is working on Achieve at home. If home access is unavailable, students are welcome to come early or stay in at recess/lunch to work on Achieve. Thank you!

Owl Pellet Dissection and Raptor Presentation – Thank you to those who have returned permission slips and $6 cost donations. I also appreciate the extra donations sent in for other children.  Please remember the deadline is Wednesday; however, I encourage you to turn them in early. Thank you for your support. Library Books – All library books are due! If your child has any at home, please have them return them to school as soon as possible.

Water Bottle Recycling – We have recycled over 28,000 plastic water bottles this year! We have one more Friday to collect. Please bring them to Room 808 this Friday morning May 20th. Thank you for supporting our recycling program this year!

AR Electronics Party – will be Friday May 20th. Students who’ve met their INDIVIDUAL GOAL for AR points will receive permission slips Monday. Students who are close can continue to take tests and earn points until Thursday. You can do it, Panthers!

OPUS Music – If you are interested in having your child participate in OPUS Music next school year, please visit this website for more information or to sign up: OPUS Music

Behavior – Now that we are almost at the end of the school year, Panthers should be SHINING and showcasing Core Values that we’ve learned and practiced all year. There are many special upcoming events that would be awesome for all students to take part in. However, unfortunately those with poor behavior will face consequences such as loss of privileges to participate in these special activities. Please speak with your child about doing their best and making good choices. Shine on, Panthers.

Thank you, parents, for all your help and dedication at home. Please let me know if there are any questions. Have an amazing week to all you Panthers out there! ~ Mrs. King 🙂
