One more week…then Spring Break!

Greetings, Rosebank families! It’s ALMOST Spring Break! We’ve got one more week to go. Student-Led Conferences are going well. Thank you to parents who came to listen to your child share about their progress. They just beam when they have your undivided attention! California History Project Presentations have also started, and they are just awesome!

th

Conferences – continue Monday and Tuesday. See the Conference Schedule here. Minimum days continue all week long. Parents, please let me know right away if you need to make a change in regards to your conference. Email me at arlene.king@cvesd.org. Thank you!

Spring Break – will be March 21 – April 1. School resumes April 4, which will be regular dismissal. I will send home a homework packet that is encouraged but optional. Students who need more practice in math should take advantage of extra opportunities for practice over break. Thank you for your support at home!

Weekend Homework – read 40 minutes, no Log. Math Problem-Solving Sheet. Get Weekly Progress Report and AR Report signed.

AR Goals – We had fun at our AR Electronics Party, those students who made their points goal! Congratulations again! To all Panthers, keep reading and taking those tests to earn your points. I’m just so proud that many have already passed the points goal for the year set by the school, which is 60 points. There is still 4th quarter for those who are below 60! Don’t give up. You can do it! We will set new goals and new levels when we return from break.

Spring Break Homework – I will send home some review worksheets, but here is the gist of the homework: Read everyday at least 30 minutes. Complete 2 or more Achieve Articles and submit 2 or more Thought Questions to Mrs. King. IXL Math 4th grade – These are the standards to work on: B1 Addition, C1 Subtraction, D6 Multiplication, D7 Multiplication, D18 2-digit Multiplication, E8 Long Division, A6 Rounding. Parents, if your child needs even MORE practice, feel free to look at IXL Math online and assign other 4th grade or even 3rd grade standards that you would like your child to work on as well (there’s plenty).

Spirit Day Sports Day – Friday March 18. Show your spirit and dress in your favorite sports team colors and/or gear!

Substitute – I will be out of the classroom Thursday and Friday for a technology conference. Our wonderful drama teacher Ms. Cherie will be in charge in 502. She will run the classroom business as usual. I will not be sending home a Weekly Progress Report/AR Report on Friday. Please email me if you have any concerns during those days. Thank you so much!

Have a terrific week, my Panther friends! Don’t forget to turn clocks one hour forward today! ~ Mrs. King 🙂
