Happy New Year!

Greetings, Rosebank families! I’ve missed all of you and hope you had a wonderful Winter Break. I sure did! It’s going to be difficult waking up early again, but we can do it! Let’s make Third Quarter our most awesome quarter yet.

School resumes Tues. Jan. 12 at 8:45.  Please be on time!  It will be early dismissal, 1:45 for 4th graders.

Homework – I hope you have been working on your Achieve, IXL, and reading your book(s). Thank you for all your hard work to keep your brain active over break! You will be more than ready for this quarter’s challenges.

Changes – Remember that students will now be required to complete 3 Achieve articles per week at 88% or higher on First Try.  They will still have to submit ONE good-quality Thought Question per week. (This may change soon, though, but not yet.) Deadline will be Friday mornings before school. Work done on Achieve on the weekends from Friday after school through Sunday still counts. Another change is that students will now be required to read 40 minutes everyday for AR, instead of 35 min. We’re definitely raising the bar, but I know our Panthers can definitely handle it!

Mission Reports – If you worked on your Mission Report (optional), please turn it in this coming week. You will have a chance to present on Friday. 🙂

Holiday – Next Monday Jan. 18 will be no school for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Have a great first week back, Panthers! Parents, as always please email me if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing all of you on Tuesday! ~ Mrs. King 🙂
