Greetings, Rosebank families! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving break together. Can you believe December is here? The class has been working hard the past week on their tests to showcase their growth since July. I am excited to share this information with all of you on upcoming Report Cards.
Weekend Homework – AR Read 35 Log/Achieve Thought Question/Weekly Progress Report
This weekend your child is to read their AR books for 35 minutes and write a summary on the reading log. The other assignment is to complete ONE Achieve Thought Question from the article “Give Some Love to Greens.” The prompt on Achieve is: In your reading, you learned that a study was done on adult Americans. What did the study find? Why does the government want people to eat more fruits and vegetables? Quote the Article in your answer.
Please have your child click on “Include in Your Answer” so they know how many sentences or paragraphs to write based on their Achieve level. The last homework reminder is to please take a look at your child’s Weekly Progress Report, note their Achieve articles and AR progress on the yellow sheet. Please sign and have your child bring back to school Monday. Thank you for your help!
AR Electronics Party – For students who have met their AR individual points goals, we will have time this Friday Dec. 11 for our AR Electronics party! Hooray! Eligible students will receive their permission slip Monday. Students who are close will also receive the permission slip and may attend as long as they meet their individual points goal by Friday. Great readers become great thinkers!
Class Winter Pajama Party – The end of First Semester is upon us! 4th graders will celebrate all our hard work and good behavior with a cool Winter Pajama Party on Fri. Dec. 18. We will enjoy food and a movie in our classrooms. Party sign-up letter will be sent home Monday. We are also asking for a $2 donation for pizzas. Thank you for any donations you can make to make our party a success!
