If you did not make your conference, I will send home report card when we return. Please contact me anytime with your questions and concerns. I’m very much looking forward to our Student-Led Conferences in the spring!

The assignments include: 2 Achieve articles at 75% or higher and 1 Thought Question, AR Reading 30 minutes for 4 days each, 4 Reading Log summaries, math review pages for addition/subtraction, multiplication, division facts, rounding. The packet is due when students return and will earn them classroom money. Please email me at arlene.king@cvesd.org with any questions. Thank you for your support at home!

Field Trip – to Mission Trails Regional Park will be on Mon. Oct. 12.  Thank you to those who’ve already sent permission slips and/or money. I’ve received both from: Guillian, Julianna, and Omar. I’ve received permission slips only from: Zachery and Jesus M. Deadline for all permission slips and $7 bus cost donation is Fri. Oct. 9. Parent chaperones who’ve signed up so far are: Julianna’s mom and Zachery’s mom. It’s going to be a great trip!

Scholastic Book Orders – will be due Fri. Oct. 9. Please return completed order form and cash or check payable to Scholastic. You may also order online with code LHK22.

California Dough Maps – Thank you, thank you, thank you for having your child bring in their dough this week. We had a great time forming the state relief maps and painting the four regions of California. Students who were not able to bring in dough still participated and had fun by helping their friends. Take a look at some of our photos from this week on our Photos page.

Morning Announcements – I also wanted to give a shout-out to students who gave Morning Announcements this week: Audrey, Manolo, Guillian, Preston, and Lucia. We received many compliments from teachers and students.  You guys did an awesome job! delivering the news We will have another round of announcements in Spring.

Have a fantastic two weeks, Panthers! Rest, relax, read, have fun, practice math, be safe. We’ll see you Oct. 6. ~ Mrs. King 🙂
