Greetings, Rosebank families! Can you believe we are now in our last week of school? Time flew because we were having so much fun! Thank you so much to parents who were able to come out to watch our flash mob Uptown Funk performance and Folk Dance Festival last Friday. We had an awesome time!  Please check out the Photos page for the latest. Also, here are the YouTube links to the uploaded videos of the flash mob:

In addition, I hope that if you attended the Volunteer Tea and PTA Campout, that you had a great experience.  Thank you for supporting our wonderful school!

A big shout-out to our parent volunteers at our last field trip of the year to the USS Midway last Thursday: Mrs. Judal (Alyssa Marie’s mom), Mrs. Estrada (Michelle’s mom), and Ms. Gonzalez (Brian’s mom).  We had so much fun learning about electromagnets and touring the famous ship!  Please see all our wonderful photos here.

This Week’s 4th Grade Spirit Days/Events:
Mon. 6/15 – Sports Day – students wear their favorite sports jersey/team colors.  We will watch the 6th graders vs. Staff Kickball Game tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Who will you root for?

Tues. 6/16 – Hat and Shades Day – Pizza Party – Thank you to those who signed up to bring/send goodies.  Your child will not need to bring lunch that day. I still need a volunteer to pick up the pizzas from Little Caesar’s at 11:30 (not noon). Please email me as soon as possible if you are able to.  We would really appreciate it. Thank you again!  Here is the sign up again:

Aliza – juice boxes                                                Jayson – juice boxes 2nd round

Michelle – napkins                                               Celeste – grapes please

Wed. 6/17 – Red, White, and Blue Day – wear red, white, and blue – we will watch the 3rd grade Patriotic Assembly at 1:30.

Thurs. 6/18 – Last Day of School! Minimum Day, dismissal at 1:45.  Hawaiian Day – Wear any Hawaiian-themed clothing or wear a flower lei.  Report Cards will be sent home this day.  Please make sure to ask your child for their report card.  Please email me to let me know if your child will not be here the last day.  I will try to give them their report card early.  If not, they can be picked up in the office on Friday or it will be mailed to the address we have on file.

Library Books – All library books are due. Notices will be sent Monday.  Please have your child turn them in as soon as possible or please pay the fines.  Thank you for your support and teaching responsibility!

Residency Verification – If you haven’t done this, please bring your docs to Tamsie this week.  Students will be placed on a classroom roster once this is completed.

Remember that the first day of school for the 2015-16 school year is Wed. July 22.  Classroom rosters should be up the day or afternoon before.

Happy summer birthday to Celeste!  Happy belated birthday to Jayson!

Dearest Panther Parents… it has been quite a pleasure working with your children and families this year.  Thank you for everything you have done at home and to help at school.  I will miss having them in class dearly.  I wish all of you the best of luck in 5th grade and beyond!  Please… come visit anytime.  Have a terrific summer! Don’t forget to read, read, read! ~ Love, Mrs. King 🙂
