Week 36: Happy June!

Greetings, Rosebank families! I hope you had a nice weekend. We are in the final stretch of the school year. A mere 13 school days left!

Science Fair – Thank you for all your help with your child’s science projects. Friday’s Science Fair was a huge success! The 4th-graders did an awesome job. Thank you to parents who were able to attend. See our Photos page soon!

Achieve Levelset Test – Hooray for the class! They have all improved in lexiles for the year! See your child’s lexile star to be sent home Tuesday. Even though some did not make the 740 goal for 4th grade, any improvement (and hard work) is to be celebrated!

Residency Verification – It’s that time of year to verify your residency. Please bring your docs to the office.

Homework – We will continue Reading Log, Math, Spelling, and Achieve. Please encourage your child to work on Achieve at least 20 minutes a night to continue to strengthen their nonfiction reading skills and prevent Summer Slide (going down in reading level during summer). Friday will be the last Spelling Test of the year. Hooray!

Library – All library books are due this Friday June 5. All classroom books are due back to Mrs. King as well. Please check your house and car for any of our library and classroom books, thank you!

This Week:

Tues. June 2 – 4th Quarter STAR test in the Computer Lab – Panthers finish strong!

Wed. June 3 – Our last PAWS of the year!

Thurs. June 4 – Walking Trip to meet our Pen Pals and have lunch at Friendship Park 10:00-1:00. Permission slips sent home Monday. Please return signed right away! Your child will need to bring a snack, lunch, and water Thursday and wear walking shoes.

Fri. June 5 – Pajama Day and Variety Show in the evening – hope you can make it! First Friday Assembly has been postponed to June 12.

Next Week:

Tues. June 9 – AR Awards Assembly – Students earning 60 or more points this year will be honored!

Thurs. June 11 – USS Midway Field Trip – Please return signed permission slip and $15 cost donation by this Wed. June 4!

Fri. June 12 – Friday Assembly 8:45. Special surprise 4th grade performance…Shh!

Fri. June 12 – Volunteer Tea 3:00-4:00. School and classroom volunteers invited to attend…We appreciate you!!

Fri. June 12 – PTA Camp-out. See flyers coming home.

Final Week…Show your spirit, 4th graders!

Mon. June 15 – Sports Day – Wear your favorite jersey or team colors.

Tues. June 16 – Patriotic Day – Wear red, white, and blue.

Wed. June 17 – Hat and Shades Day – Wear your favorite hat and shades.

Thurs. June 18 – Hawaiian Day – Last Day of School! Happy Summer!
