Greetings, parents! I hope you had a nice Spring Break with your child. Thank you for attending your child’s student-led conferences before Break. It was nice to see all of you again. Can you believe we are in Fourth Quarter now???
Cabrillo Tide Pools Field Trip – Wed. April 15. Please return signed permission slip and cost donation $7 for your child by this Friday April 10. No checks or coins, please. If you are interested in being a parent chaperone, please email me at arlene.king@cvesd.org and send $7 for cost donation. We need at least 4 chaperones. Most likely you will be able to ride on the bus, but if not, you will need to provide your own transportation. Remember that chaperones will be responsible for supervising a small group of students.
Reading Goals – Students have new reading goals. They are to earn 18 or more points this quarter (2 points per week) until June 5 AR Party. The new goals will be printed on their Weekly AR Report (pink sheet). Please go over their new goal when you receive this Friday. Also, students should now be reading 45 minutes per night on their nightly homefun at their assigned reading level range (sent home with report card). Please email me if you have any questions!
