Week 27: Conferences and Presentations

Greetings, parents! Sorry for the late post.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Conferences/Minimum Days – It will be minimum days all week with dismissal at 1:45 for 4th graders.  Conferences begin this week in our class.  Students will lead the conference, so please make sure they attend.  Please check the Conference Schedule and make sure you know your day and time.  Please contact me immediately if you are unable to make our appointment, and we can reschedule.

CA History Project Presentations – begin tomorrow and will continue all week.  Here is the schedule below.  Please make sure your child brings their materials for presenting on their Presentation Day.  I look forward to seeing all their hard work!

Spring Break – will be next week, March 30-April 3.  School resumes Monday, April 6 and will be a minimum day schedule with 1:45 dismissal.  No homework will be assigned, however, I encourage students to read, read, read and work on Achieve articles and/or IXL at home.

Cabrillo Field Trip – Our class will visit Cabrillo Tide Pools on April 15 as part of our Science study of ecosystems and slow changes on earth.  I will send home the permission slip and info this week.  Please sign and return the permission slip either this week or when we return from break, along with I believe $7.00 cost donation for the bus.  The deadline for all slips and money will be Wed. April 8.  We will need at least 4 parent chaperones to help supervise a small group of students.  Students will need to bring a zero-waste or no-trash lunch and should wear comfortable clothing on the trip.
