Greetings, 502 families! A belated thank you all for the wonderful Valentine’s cards, gifts and treats. What a busy time at school these days! The students have been working hard on CAASPP English Language Arts Interim Test. We will continue with Math CAASPP interim tests next week in the computer lab. I encourage you to take a look at and you can also have your child work on some of the questions on the practice and training tests on the CAASPP website.
Math Quiz – sent home today on mixed multiplication. Please help your child to study for the retest on Monday if they scored below 70%. Thank you for your any help you can give.
Weekly Progress Report – sent home today with AR pink report. Please sign both pages. Also, some students are missing old assignments such as Speech, Book Jacket, and Proud Moment Writing. A list of missing assignments (orange) was also stapled to the report.
Book Fair – all next week in Room 905 from 8:00-4:00. Students with money may purchase before school, at recess or lunch, and after school. I will be giving incentive raffle tickets for posters at the Book Fair for students working on Achieve at home. Reading is awesome!
Social Studies Project – Our next big project will be assigned this coming week. Students will research and present a report with visual on a famous California person, place, or invention. Please look for the packet to be sent home Monday. A list of topics will be available. Students will submit their top three choices to me by Wed. and I will assign their topic that day, so they can get started on their project. Please look over the timeline and mark your calendars with important due dates. Students WILL need your assistance. Thank you for your support at home.
Student-Led Conferences in March – Thank you to those who’ve signed up. Please see the updated Conference Schedule and let me know if anything changes and you need to reschedule. If you haven’t signed up for a conference, please email me your top preferred dates/times. I’m super-excited to see the students conducting their conferences with you.
