Greetings, Rosebank families! Our Winter Break is coming to an end. I hope your family enjoyed spending time together during the holidays. School will resume Tuesday Jan. 6, which will be a minimum day. Please also note that the new traffic pattern (Phase 2) will take effect on the same day.
Students, please turn in any completed Winter Break packets when you return. Remember this is optional, and you will be paid classroom money for any work completed. You may also turn in your Book Jacket if it is completed. The Book Jacket is not due until Jan. 20. Book Jacket presentations will take place the week of Jan. 20-23. Thank you for your hard work!
I will be sending home your child’s STAR reading test results from late Dec. Congratulations to those who have made growth! They may or may not have a new reading range, please take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Please sign and return to school the next day. Thank you!

Math – Problem-solving, review multiplication/division
Reading – Main idea/details, parts of speech, sentences
Writing – Narrative writing
Science – ecosystems, garbage/recycling, rocks and minerals
Social Studies – events leading up to and including Gold Rush
PE – folk dancing, running
