October is flying fast! This week we finish our Swim Classes. Friday will be our last day. 😦 Thank you to parents who came to see us in action this past week. If you are able to make it to Parkway Pool this week, our swim lesson is from 10:00-10:40. Hope to see you there! Our principal, Mr. Vickers might be dropping by on Wed!

Swimming Ool Poem – Students got a kick out of this funny poem. They can earn a Homefun Pass/red ticket if they recite poem from memory to teacher and class!
No-Soda Challenge – Students need to turn in their blue No-Soda Challenge sheets to the pool on Friday. Hopefully, they will continue the No-Soda for the rest of the school year and their lives!
Conferences – please see the updated Conference Schedule. I’ve emailed reminders and will send home a reminder slip next week. Please contact me if you need to reschedule or if you haven’t signed up.
Scholastic Book Orders – due Monday. Order online with code LHK22 or return completed order form with exact cash or check payable to Scholastic. When you order, our class earns points towards new books for the classroom. Who doesn’t love new books?
Picture Retake/Make-up Day – this Thurs. Oct. 16. Pictures were sent home this past week. If your child was absent on Picture Day or needs a retake, order forms will be sent Monday.
Substitute – I will be out of the classroom Wed morning and Thurs all day for BTSA. (I help mentor beginning teachers in the district; they happen to be music teachers!) The class will be in good hands: retired Kellogg teacher and my own friend/mentor Mrs. Kawamoto will be my substitute. She will be delighted to meet this awesome group of young gentlemen and ladies.
